June 17–21 2025
Við Djúpið is an annual music festival held in Ísafjörður, a town in Iceland's Westfjords region. Established in 2003, the festival focuses on classical and contemporary music, providing a platform for both renowned and emerging artists to collaborate and perform in a unique and inspiring setting.
The festival traditionally takes place around the summer solstice, offering a series of concerts and master classes. Educational courses have been a central component since its inception, with master classes conducted in close cooperation with the Iceland University of the Arts. These courses are accredited by the university's Department of Music, providing valuable learning opportunities for participants.
The 2025 edition of Við Djúpið is scheduled from June 17th to 21st. Each day features at least two concerts, with evening performances typically held at Hamrar, the local music society's concert hall, and daytime concerts spreading throughout the town.
FESTIVAL PACKAGES
In addition to the musical performances, the festival offers various experiences that allow attendees to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the Westfjords. For instance, the "Official Við Djúpið Music Festival Package" includes activities such as kayaking and biking, providing a comprehensive cultural and natural exploration of the region.
Attending Við Djúpið offers a unique opportunity to experience world-class music performances amidst the stunning landscapes of Iceland's Westfjords, making it a memorable event for both music enthusiasts and nature lovers.
